Bayonet and Black Horse - Information
Bayonet and Black Horse is a world-class golfing destination located in Seaside, California. The courses were designed by legendary golfer Gene Bates and opened in 1954. The name "Bayonet" comes from the fact that the land was previously used as an army training area, and "Black Horse" pays homage to the cavalry division that trained there.
Bayonet and Black Horse have hosted numerous professional tournaments including the PGA Tour, Champions Tour, and LPGA Tour. The courses feature stunning views of the Monterey Bay and surrounding hillsides, as well as challenging elevation changes and strategically placed bunkers. Visitors can choose to play either the Bayonet course, which has been ranked as one of the top 100 public golf courses in the United States, or the Black Horse course, which features generous fairways and large greens. Both courses offer a range of tee boxes to accommodate golfers of all skill levels.
In addition to golf, Bayonet Black Horse Golf Courses also offer a variety of amenities including a driving range, putting green, and a well-stocked pro shop. The courses are open year-round and offer special packages for groups and corporate events.
