Discovery Place is a science and technology museum located in Uptown Charlotte, North Carolina. The museum was founded in 1946 as the Charlotte Nature Museum and was originally located in a small building in Freedom Park. Over the years, the museum expanded and relocated to its current location in 1981. In 2010, the museum underwent a major renovation and expansion, adding several new exhibits and upgrading existing ones. Discovery Place has become a popular destination for families and tourists alike, attracting over 300,000 visitors each year.
