The Superdome is a large, domed stadium located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Opened in 1975, the stadium has a seating capacity of up to 76,468 and is home to the NFL's New Orleans Saints football team. The Superdome has hosted several major events throughout its history, including seven Super Bowls, several NCAA basketball Final Fours, and numerous concerts and other entertainment events. The stadium also played a significant role during Hurricane Katrina in 2005, serving as a shelter for thousands of people displaced by the storm. Today, visitors can take tours of the stadium and attend events such as Saints football games and major concerts.
