Rayburn House Office Building is a government building located on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. It was named after former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sam Rayburn, and is one of three office buildings used by members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Completed in 1965, the building houses over 150 congressional offices, as well as hearing and committee rooms. The Rayburn building is known for its impressive architecture, including a central courtyard and a large dome-shaped reading room.
