Spring and autumn (fall) are the most popular seasons to visit Las Vegas as temperatures from June to September – the summer months – tend to be very hot and mostly dry. In July the daily average temperature is 33.6 degrees Celsius (92.5 Fahrenheit) and there is little drop in temperature after dark, often remaining at 27 degrees Celsius (80 Fahrenheit). Every year there is an average of 134 days of 32 degree Celsius (90 Fahrenheit) or more temperatures, and typically 74 days of 38 degree Celsius (100 Fahrenheit) or more highs. Winter in Las Vegas is short and temperatures are mild. December is the coldest month with an average temperature of 8.7 degrees Celsius (47.7 Fahrenheit).
