Why Santa Ponsa

Holidaymakers have flocked to the lively and sun-soaked resort of Santa Ponsa in the southwest of Majorca (Mallorca) since the 1950s, and it is no wonder. There is a massive stretch of sandy beach, plus a huge range of cafes and restaurants and an energetic nightlife scene. And you are perfectly placed for getting around the island – Magaluf and Palma Nova are just 10 minutes down the road, while Palma, the island’s capital, is only 20 kilometres away.

The main beach is Playa Santa Ponsa and features a vast expanse of soft, white sand. It’s got every facility you would expect from Santa Ponsa holidays, from tempting loungers with umbrellas to nets for a game of volleyball. Beyond the sand is a promenade brimming with bars, cafes and restaurants. This backs onto pine forests where, if you look carefully, you’ll spot parakeets. Head down to the marina and you will find a smaller, quieter stretch of sand, known as Little Beach.
